Australia PR Points Calculator
Answer eight questions to see your points for the Skilled Independent (189), Skilled Nominated (190) and Skilled Work Regional (491) visas. The pass mark is 65.
How the Australian points test works
Australia’s General Skilled Migration programme awards points for age, English ability, skilled work experience, qualifications, Australian study, partner skills and nomination. You need at least 65 points to submit an expression of interest in SkillSelect.
- Your occupation must be on the relevant skilled occupation list.
- You need a positive skills assessment from the assessing authority for your occupation, such as ANMAC for nurses or TRA for trades.
- You must be under 45 when you are invited to apply.
- Meeting the pass mark does not guarantee an invitation. Invitation rounds are competitive.

This calculator gives an indication only. Points are decided by the Department of Home Affairs on the evidence in your application, and rules change. It is not migration advice. Have your result checked by a consultant before you spend on assessments or exams.
